FAQs

  • We automatically offer a one-year labor warranty on units we install, though under some circumstances we will extend that warranty. Unfortunately, we will not service any units we have not installed.

  • HVAC Unit — Depending on the age, condition, and routine maintenance/upkeep that was done on the system, our auditors will use their knowledge and expertise to help you determine whether you need to replace your unit entirely, or make other adjustments to your energy system to see your unit perform to its full potential.

Duct System — Over time, ducts can wear, rip and eventually begin to leak, especially if they are not properly sealed. A poorly designed duct system can also lead to inefficient air distribution throughout your home and poor air quality. Our auditors will take all of this into consideration when they visit with you during your free Energy Audit. They can determine which ducts are able to be salvaged, and which ducts need to be replaced entirely - an excellent long-term solution.

Insulation — Once our auditors determine the type and amount of insulation in your attic, our technicians will install insulation on top of what’s already existing in order to achieve proper efficiency and R-Value, though in some extreme cases (e.g., rodent infestations, mold), there is the need for a full removal and replacement of the old insulation.

  • We install formaldehyde-free white fiberglass blow-in or loose-fill insulation and rolled fiberglass batting in attics to their appropriate R-Values.

    • We do not install spray foam insulation or wall insulation.

  • We offer Duct Blaster testing on duct systems and Blower Door testing for whole-house envelope tightness.

  • We weather-strip doors, caulk plumbing penetrations, dam and weather-strip attic hatches, and seal HVAC systems (supply/return vents, ducts, plenums and units).

    • We do not seal or weather-strip windows.
