The Home Energy Savings program takes a comprehensive approach to enhancing energy efficiency throughout your home. By implementing energy-saving upgrades, you can reduce energy consumption and enhance your indoor air quality.

Rebates and Loan Options
Austin Energy provides rebate and loan options to support your project. For projects that qualify for rebates only, you’ll receive rebate checks upon completion. For projects that combine rebates and loans, the estimated rebate amount will be applied to your project costs, decreasing your total loan amount.
Leverage this program to potentially qualify for a residential energy efficiency low-interest loan offered in collaboration with Velocity Credit Union. (Eligibility for this financing is based on the estimated energy savings resulting from your planned home improvements.)

Velocity Credit Union, in partnership with Austin Energy, offers the Home Energy Savings Program, providing low-cost financing for energy-efficient home improvements. Eligible upgrades include energy-efficient HVAC systems, attic insulation, duct improvements, caulking, weatherstripping, and solar window shading. Homeowners of properties at least 10 years old and serviced by Austin Energy can apply, with loans featuring fixed interest rates as low as 1.99% APR and terms of 5 or 10 years.
